Air India Flight Receives Bomb Threat; Thiruvananthapuram Airport Declares Full Emergency

Bomb Squad Deployed, Aircraft Isolated

Amid rising cases of bomb threats, a full emergency was declared at Thiruvananthapuram airport on Thursday after an Air India flight from Mumbai received one, according to PTI.

The aircraft was moved to an isolation bay upon landing at 8 am and the bomb squad was deployed to investigate the threat.

Emergency Response

  • Full emergency declared at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport
  • Bomb squad deployed to investigate
  • Passengers and crew evacuated safely
  • Airport operations temporarily suspended

As of now, no explosives have been found and the investigation is ongoing.

In a similar incident last month, a bomb threat on an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Patna forced an emergency landing in Lucknow.

The surge in bomb threats on flights has raised concerns about aviation security and the need for enhanced measures to prevent such incidents.
